Co-Op Robbery Suspect in Custody

Davis Police Department arrested a man shortly after a suspect broke into the closing Davis Co-Op, stole merchandise and ran off, authorities said.

It was around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday evening as Davis Food Co-Op employees were closing up shop a Davis man forced his way into the building, and made a dash for merchandise.

According to Davis Police, that male suspect is Robert Baker, 42, and they believe he is responsible for not only the attempted theft of Co-Op merchandise, but an earlier vehicle burglary that had been reported just prior to the Co-Op robbery.
