De Vere's Ships Entire Pub From Ireland to Davis (SLIDESHOW)

If this is the kind of tender love and care they put into assembling a pub, I look forward to letting them pour me a Guinness.

A massive truckload of furniture and other pub necessities arrived at the future site of de Vere’s Irish Pub this morning.

The load had spent nearly three weeks on the docks in Oakland, but with the clock ticking toward the grand opening on October 13, it was time for the delivery to be made. Several family owners helped workers load the contents into the empty building next-door to the pub.

Nearly all of the interior elements at de Vere’s were carved and assembled back in the family’s motherland of Ireland. They will all be installed in the pub over the next month, and then the remaining modifications will be stained to match the authentic Irish décor.
