Friday: Day and Night Entertainment for All

Some free activities for you to do in Davis today

All around town, from UC Davis Arboretum to The Avid Reader, there will be free of charge events to participate in.

  • Noon to 1 p.m.: Folk Music Jam Session at Wyatt Deck in the UC Davis Arboretum. Folk musicians are invited to bring their acoustic instruments and play informally. Listeners are also invited.
  • 3 to 4 p.m.: The library will be hosting "Tales for Tails," a reading to therapy dogs event, at the Davis Public Library at 315 E. 14th St. 10 minute slots will be on a first come, first served basis. The event is intended to promote relaxation and patience.
  • 4 to 10 p.m.: Soul and jazz DJ Mr. Glass will be performing again at the Delta of Venus outdoor patio. Delta of Venus is located at 122 B St.  
  • 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.: Book reading: "Power of a Broken-Open Heart" at The Avid Reader at 617 2nd St. Sacramento hospice worker Julie Interrante will discuss embracing painful life transitions.
