Matthew Keys Was Banned From DavisWiki Back in 2006

The now-indicted ex-Fox40 web producer was apparently banned for "reverting his vanity page and trolling instead of making real edits," among other things.

I was reading a Gawker article Friday night when I stumbled upon a reference to DavisWiki, which caught me off guard.

I had no idea, but it appears that Matthew Keys, the guy who was fired from FOX40 in 2010 and has been indicted on charges that he helped hackers access his former company's server, was banned from our local wiki back in 2006.

This is from the Gawker story, which explores Keys' Strange Internet Past:

Keys was also apparently banned from Daviswiki, community-powered news and information resource on Davis, California after trolling the site with a number of sockpuppet accounts.

"I don't believe *anyone else* has ever been nominated for a ban on the wiki except for Matthew Keys who started purposefully vandalizing it and trying to get banned," wrote a poster on Davis Wiki.

I checked DavisWiki, and although I don't see mention of sockpuppet accounts, it's clear he was at times problematic and several people wanted him banned.

Here's some further reading about Keys' and DavisWiki. Take the first link with a grain of salt:
