Visitors are invited to taste desserts made by congregants, including cakes – apple, honey, poppyseed – as well as triangular-shaped hamantaschen, rugelach stuffed with local fruits and honey and biscotti-like mandelbread. Savory delights will also be featured, including bagels from Noah’s, challah and cheesecake from Upper Crust Bakery, blintzes from Crepeville, bobka and macaroons from Ciocolat, and Kosher hot dogs from the Hotdogger. Also available will be noodle kugel, potato-mushroom borekas, latkes, hummus and couscous salad from Yair’s Yummies Kosher Catering.

Café Méditerranée will provide kabobs and falafel; the Davis Food Co-op is offering dolmas, tabbouleh and other salads, while honey will be available from Z Specialty Foods. Newsbeat will provide Dr. Brown’s sodas and Cloud Forest Café coffee will be served. Additional menu items are being added daily.
Vendors will also feature Judaica, jewelry, art, and books. The synagogue’s booth will include a display related to Sukkot, the holiday that begins that evening, as well as memorabilia of Bet Haverim’s fifty years in Yolo County. The synagogue’s pre-school, Gan Haverim, will offer a Sukkot craft station, a treasure dig for Jewish “artifacts,” and face painting.

Copies of the Bet Haverim Jewish Cookbook will be available, along with Davis Jewish Food Festival t-shirts. The synagogue is teaming with the Davis Farmers Market to offer comprehensive waste recycling. Participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food for a food drive at the Davis Community Meals booth.
