This Young Gun is Starting a Stooges Cover Band; 'Slackjaw Conformists' Need Not Apply

"I want to form a band to combat the squares I'm constantly surrounded by and impress chicks."

This musical opportunity surely isn't for everybody, but maybe it's a good fit for you. We found it in the "musicians" section of Craigslist early this week and wanted to pass it along.

The guy who posted it is looking to start an Iggy & the Stooges cover band. Rather than get in the way of his words, we'll just paste it here and let you enjoy it in full:

Any Davis musicians out there intersted in this opportunity? Share your thoughts below.

Last year I was 21. I didn't have a lot of fun. Now I'm 22 so I'm gunna start a f***n rock and roll band. I just moved into davis , and am allready bored! I'm a young gun waiting to go off, , now I must take aim and fire. How do I plan on doing this? Well I want to form a band to combat the squares I'm constantly surrounded by and impress chicks. I've always admired intense frontmen like iggy, jim morrison, gg allin, stiv baters etc. I learned from those dudes I have the same fire inside of me. I want to sing, but I am also a highly proficient bass player if needed for this project( keeep in mind I would much rather have my hands free to strangle people with during shows.) If you play drums or guitar hit me up! cause Im restless and young now, and there is no time like the present to start making sh*t, really I need something to show for my existence so far and I'm sure you feel the same way if you're not some slackjaw conformist. We'll start by covering stooges albums then move on to our own material.

My Influences:Pentagram, Dead Boys, Thin LIzzy, Motorhead, Judas Priest, GG Allin (JABBERS, SCUMFUCS, BULGE ETC.),The dictators, Hubble Bubble, New York Dolls, The Sonics, THirteenth FLoor Elevators(ROKY ERICKSON) etc on on and on. IF YOU LIKE ELECTRONICA MUSIC GET OUT OF HERE -JORDAN G.
