Three Things You Can (Must?) Do This Weekend

Farmers Market, Winters Youth Day and Music on the Green. Your weekend = Planned!

You know how it’s easier for a salesperson to sell something when he/she believes in the product being sold? Well, that’s how I feel about this article.

I, myself, will be partaking in all three of the weekend activities below, which means I wholeheartedly believe in what I'm dishing out.

And let me tell you this: life as Davis Patch’s editor can make for long workdays during the week, so I make a point to get some enjoyable free time on the weekends. I don't ever burn up those valuable hours at events that don't excite me.

I’ve rambled on long enough. Here’s some cool stuff happening this weekend:

  1.  (Saturday morning) – This happens every weekend. For this, we should all be thankful. Kind of makes me want a frozen block of apple juice.
  2. Winters Youth Day (Saturday all day) – Youth Day is kind of like a mini Picnic Day. It’s quite an extravaganza by Winters’s standards, but it’s got a much more calming feel. There will probably be a couple of extra arrests on Saturday, but the arrest log will look nothing like this beast.
  3. (Sunday 11-3) – Music, food and tons of crafts and second-hand goods in . I wrote about it Thursday. !

Bonus option:

  • Nursery Rummage Sale (Saturday morning) - "It's the bet place to get good & cheap baby & kid stuff," a reader told me. She also called it legendary, which sealed the deal for me. More details here

I haven't had allergies this bad since I was five and living in Bellflower, CA. The doctors said toRead More get me out of California. That was in 1945.
