I ate this meal today, and it was glorious. If you can guess the total cost, after tax, Davis Patch will buy you one so you can experience the glory for yourself.

I won’t tell you where it came from, although I imagine that won’t be difficult for many people. Something to keep in mind, however, is that this particular menu item offers several topping options, some of which cost extra. Maybe this meal features a handful of those augmentations. But then again, maybe it doesn’t.

All guesses must be made in the comments section of the article. The contest will last through the weekend, and then I’ll award the prize to the first person to guess closest to the actual price. You must comment on the article, not the Facebook post.

Share this contest with a friend and perhaps they'll share their prize with you if they win. Like Davis Patch on Facebook for more chances to win stuff

You are the winner! The total price was $15.02, in part because I added bacon, blue cheese and avocado. It starts at $9.50, but those items cost extra, and it's hard to pass them up. You can also add a fried egg, which takes it to a whole new level.
Email me at justin.cox@patch.com and we can arrange a gift-card handoff. Congrats!

And it's froooom.... where?

Oops! It's from De Vere's Irish Pub, which is downtown near Watermelon Music. It's their original burger. I also recommend the Irish Stew. http://www.facebook.com/deveresdavis

At first I thought, "What now? First the IRS is investigating the Tea Party and now the OddRead More Fellows and Soroptimist?" But then, after reading the article I realize that these are pretty serious allegations if proven to be true. I'm curious what specific "foster youth" organizations have benefitted from all of this fundraising. "Foster youth" is a pretty generic phrase and could refer to any number of organizations. With all of the non-profits I have worked with, the specific charity benefitting from their work was very clearly identified (and their 501c status was never in question).
