Hey Business Owners, What Do You Know About the Incentives?

Seminar aims to show business owners some incentives they can take advantage of.

Please join us in a free seminar on Tuesday, Aug. 27 to hear about the new State business incentives coming to California to accelerate job and business growth, including:

  • A new targeted hiring credit
  • A new sales and use tax exemption for manufacturing and R&D equipment purchases
  • A new tax credit for business attraction and expansion called "California Competes" that provides up to $200 million per year for income tax credits to companies (of all sizes) that are committed to growing in California.

Kish Rajan, Director of GO-Biz, the Governor's office that administers the "California Competes" program, will be there to discuss “what’s next.”This seminar is presented by GO-Biz in partnership with the City of Davis, City of West Sacramento, West Sacramento and Davis Chambers, SACTO, the Metro Chamber and others.

Time: From 9 –10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, at the West Sacramento City Hall Galleria.

"Davis is excited about the sales and use tax exemption for Research & Development and manufacturing, as well as the tax credit for 'California Competes'. These two incentives fit perfectly with our new programs to support manufacturers and startups in the rich innovation environment between UC Davis and the City," said Rob White, Chief Innovation Officer, City of Davis.

Register for the event online or call the city of West Sacramento at 916-617-4539 to sign up. For more information click here.
