A photo of a sign in the egg section of the Davis Food Co-op was posted on Reddit Tuesday. One day later, more than 400,000 people have seen it and more than 1,000 people have commented.
The post is titled, "Know your eggs: every grocer should post this information," and it lets people know some details about the eggs sold at the Co-op. The sign lists the types of eggs for sale, along with the following checklist items:
- Chicken feed: Conventional/Organic
- Kept in: Cages, Houses, Access Outside, Pasture
- Beaks clipped: Yes/No
- Force Molted: Yes/No
- Wings Trimmed: Yes/No
