USA Today Has Kind Words For Davis's Train Station

The Davis Railroad Depot was on USA Today's 10 great places to celebrate National Train Day, which is this Saturday, May 12.

The folks over at USA Today appear to have a bit of a crush on Davis.

They put us on a list of the best farmers markets () earlier this week, and now they’re giving props to our downtown train station.

This mid-size station looks like a California mission and has been carefully restored to its 1914 opening-day appearance. The building's notable for its pink stucco exterior and the woodwork in the waiting room. "It's very clean in design. A beautiful homage to California's twin Hispanic and Anglo heritage," Breslin says.
