The Wendy’s in Davis closed its doors Wendesday, as did the restaurant up the road in Woodland.
A Davis Patch reader pointed out that the Davis location appeared to be closed, but wasn’t sure if the change was permanent. A Wendy’s employee confirmed by phone that the restaurant would not be opening back up, but didn't offer specifics.
The Wendy’s in Woodland closed on the same day, according to the Sacramento Bee. A spokesperson told the Bee that it was “strictly a business decision,” and that employees will be offered jobs at other Wendy’s stores.
No other regional Wendy’s restaurants closed. Two Wendy's restaurants in Washington state did suddently close, however.
Luigi’s Pizza in downtown Davis also closed this week, after just five months in Davis.
