Original Story: Baja Fresh shut down last month, leaving an empty downtown storefront in its wake.
The store opened in December of 2010. The eatery began offering discounted burritos and other items toward the end of its run in hopes of luring customers from Chipotle and other nearby eateries. In the end, it didn’t work out.
The now-empty building is modern, and it sits conveniently between downtown and the university. It’s also just a stone’s throw form Central Park, making it a desirable location.
