I received a fun email last week about the current location of the Black Bear Diner. Here's an excerpt. Let us know what you think below the story.
...I grew up in Davis, and [my husband] moved to Dixon when he was in high school (we’ve been married 29 years, which should give you an idea of how long we’ve lived here!).
We have a minor on-going debate about the restaurants that have occupied 255 Second St. (currently Black Bear Diner). Here is my list, not necessarily in order: Sambos, Lyons, Seasons, Baker’s Square. My husband says there’s no way a restaurant named Seasons was there, but I believe there was one completely unrelated to the Seasons currently in Davis. I remember when they chose that name, thinking – “are folks going to confuse that with the former diner?”
Would you have an easy way to settle this dispute for us?
