Where Will You Celebrate St. Patrick's Day? (POLL)

Vote, comment and review your favorite St. Patrick's Day destination.

St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Saturday this year, which is pretty convenient for those who plan to spend the evening on the town.

But there are plenty of celebration options in Davis; which one will you be visiting on St. Patrick's Day?

This is part of a Readers' Choice series we're doing. You vote and comment this week and we'll announce the results on Friday. Don't forget leave a review in our directory by clicking the restaurant's name below; reviewing their listing page counts extra in tallying the winner. Here's the list:

As much as I like a good celebration, it appears that St. Patrick's is really just another alcohol centered excuse to get hammered. I've got friends who have gotten DUI's, friends in AA, and have picked up my own teenager off the sidewalk passed out from alcohol consumption. As a bike rider in Davis, have noticed a lot of broken glass and vomit in the streets. Can someone please come up with a new definition for the verb "party".

I feel irritated by this community's over-emphasis on alcohol. Can't understand why the bars are packed with students and there's a food closet on campus. Hasn't anyone noticed this gap?

So I guess Maria isn't going to be the vote that breaks this early competition between De Vere's and Little Prague?

I'd say that almost all college towns have lively nightlife scenes, while tons of college kids complain of being broke. I wouldn't say Davis is unique, but the gap is definitely legitimate, and probably worth exploring. Very nice point.

Haha. Looks like we've got a three-horse race now.

Hi Katie. If somebody is interested in the kittens, who do they contact? I'll share this if you addRead More that information, either in the article or in these comments. Thanks!

At first I thought, "What now? First the IRS is investigating the Tea Party and now the OddRead More Fellows and Soroptimist?" But then, after reading the article I realize that these are pretty serious allegations if proven to be true. I'm curious what specific "foster youth" organizations have benefitted from all of this fundraising. "Foster youth" is a pretty generic phrase and could refer to any number of organizations. With all of the non-profits I have worked with, the specific charity benefitting from their work was very clearly identified (and their 501c status was never in question).
