Dressage schoolmaster for lease (jumps too)

Doc is a 16.1 hands thoroughbred gelding, never raced and raised as a barn pet. He is very friendly, with excellent ground manners. Suitable for an advanced beginner, not due to any behavioral issues but just because he collects nicely and I don't want to "un"-train him. He is very well trained and is currently in training twice a week to maintain fitness as I work full-time and have a young child at home. I am an advanced beginner rider and can ride him around the arena with no reins at the trot. He is a confidence builder and his canter is famous on the ranch because it is so smooth and delightful. He is a wonderful dressage schoolmaster for first and second level dressage riders and honest over fences. If you are interested in jumping, he is currently schooling over small fences most recently. He likes to go on trail rides. I am looking for a leaser to ride him regularly and love him. If you are interested in showing him, that would be fine. I ride him two days a week so he is available on a really flexible schedule. He is kept in a stall with paddock at Pine Trails Ranch (see their website) on Road 31 just outside of Davis. If you are interested, the best way to try him out is to call the ranch and arrange for a lesson on him, 530.756.2042.
