I will be teaching his three week wine class a the new Vini Wine Bar at 611 2ND Stree - in downtown Davis. The remaining classes are Nov. 19 and 22.
I am a UCD grad who spent over 28 years working as a wine merchant and wine buyer for the iconic upscale food and wine store - Corti Brothers in Sacramento. He is currently teaching wine courses at Cal State University, Chico.
The class includes blind wine tasting exercises - special winemaker and wine trade guests, generous wine handouts (that you can take home and use) and delicious appetizers - served each evening - from the award winning deli at Corti Bros. in easst Sacramento.
Wine tasting, special wine guests and hors d'oeuvres, interactive lecture on "How to become a better taster" - Hence a better wine 'buyer.' And all for only $30 dollars a session.
UPDATE: I can prorate any session or combination of classes that a person wants (to take advantage of). Each class session stands on its own, of course, but obviously there is the reward of continuity for the student that takes all three sessions. My present class is on the small side - with only 21 students attending. I suppose that I am a little jaded - as my Sacramento, Lodi and Folsom classes usually total 35-40.
Next week we have a special wine guest (also bringing wine to taste) in addition to the five or six wines that I bring each week.Included in the fun, weekly classes - "blind tasting exercises."
