10th Annual DHS Blue and White Golf Tournament
The 10th annual Blue & White Golf Tournament is being held at Wildhorse Golf Course in Davis, on FRIDAY, May 16, 2014. This scramble format tournament will be a lot of fun and there will be some great prizes including 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Winners, Closest to the Pin, and Longest Drive to name a few. Check-in begins at 11:30 am followed by a 1:00 pm shotgun start.
The cost per son is $150.00 and includes Golf Cart, Range Balls, Dinner, Music by Custom Neon, T-Shirt, Green Fees, Raffle Ticket, and of course Margaritas at the famous Margarita tent (for those over 21).
All proceeds go to the Davis Senior High School Blue and White Foundation, a non-profit organization, whose mission is to encourage, strengthen, and sustain the interaction between Davis Senior High School and its alumni and Friends and to encourage philanthropic support for Davis High. What does that mean exactly? In 2013 the DHS Blue and White Foundation donated more than $7500.00 to individual students for such things as Disney Institute Leadership Program, Math Tutoring Program, Debate Camp at Stanford, and an Economic Leader Program, $3000.00 to the Madrigals to help support their trip to the Sistine Chapel, and $3000.00 to the Citrus Circuits Robotics Team. We were also able to help fund three students so that they could attend the Watsworth conference for the DHS Yearbook, purchased a lap top for the DHS School Magazine and provided costume support for the DHS Jazz Choir.
