Public is Invited to a Yolo Audubon Field Trip

Did you know that adjacent to the Napa River in the community of American Canyon, is a recently restored shoreline walking trail? To learn about the birding opportunities of this area, join the Yolo Audubon Society on a field trip to the Napa River and Bay Trail on Saturday, March 15.  There is a large tidal lagoon where many species of birds rest.  Enjoy a short, level walk during which, the incoming tide will bring foraging birds closer to the shore.  The northward bird migration has begun, so trip participants may be treated “surprises” among the expected birds - sandpipers, godwits, willets and ducks.  All along the walkway, the open vistas looking west toward the wetlands, enhance this outdoors activity.

Participants should Meet at March 15 at 7:30 AM in The Marketplace Shopping Center at 1411 West Covell Boulevard in Davis.

Contact Sami LaRocca, (530-908-0288 or sami182@wavecable.com) with questions or for more information about this trip.
