The Public is Invited to Join Yolo Audubon on a Birding Trip to Yuba County

The Yolo Audubon Society will host a bird watching trip to the District 10 rice growing area with its large populations of wintering waterfowl, shorebirds and ibis.  This free field trip is Saturday, February 8, 2014.  Trip leaders will also take participants into the grasslands and foothills for raptors and other open-country species.  If time and weather permit, the group will bird the montane habitats.  Plans for the trip include staying long enough to look for owls in the evening.

Participants should plan for a full-day trip.  The leader will meet participants at 7:00 AM in The Marketplace Shopping Center at 1411 West Covell Boulevard in Davis.

Trip leader John Sterling indicates participants are welcome to join the group for part, or all of the day.  Participants should bring binoculars, spotting scopes, snacks and/or lunch and beverages for this full day of bird watching.

Contact John (530-908-3836) with questions or for more information about this trip.
