Yolo Audubon Leads Trip to the Cosumnes River Preserve

The public is invited to join the Yolo Audubon Society on a bird watching trip to Cosumnes River Preserve on, Sunday, January 12, 2014.  The trip will include opportunities to see birds along Woodbridge Road.  Participants will see the Preserve when it has a maximum number of waterfowl, plus, hawks, songbirds and other water birds.  As a bonus, the area abounds with Sandhill Cranes.

Participants should dress in layers, and to enhance the enjoyment of the outing, bring binoculars, spotting scopes, water, and snacks.  This outing will include a moderate amount of gentle walking.

Trip leader Mary Schiedt will meet at the Mace Blvd Park and Ride (2nd St. & Mace Blvd, behind Ikeda's) in Davis, at 7:30 AM to carpool and provide driving directions.  Return to Davis is expected to be mid-afternoon
