The UU church choir is under new direction. This fall, Laura Sandage takes the helm of the renamed Sparks Choir, which will gather Saturday to launch a new season of singing. Anyone in the community who likes to sing is welcome to join the choir, or just enjoy the day's events-- you need not be a member of the UU Church of Davis.
The day will include a sample rehearsal in the morning, giving people an idea of what Thursday night Sparks Choir rehearsals will be like (meeting time 7:15-9:00). An Indian lunch prepared by Sandage's husband, Satinder Sandhu, will be provided at no cost (donations accepted). The afternoon will involve sight singing new and familiar repertoire, playing ensemble-building games, a break for tea and treats, and a talent show and closing circle at the end.
