Trees are not a medical issue, but they're not any less important.
They indirectly and directly affect every one of us by cleaning air, providing shade, or just by being beautiful. The TREE Fund, an organization that supports research and eduction around urban trees, supported part of my graduate work and I want to do my part to help them continue doing what they are doing. Since urban forestry is often first to be cut in the budget when times get rough, this is even more important.
In early August I will be participating in my first bike ride fundraiser; 585 miles through Oregon. It's a great event and I am really excited about it.
Each rider of the Stihl Tour des Trees has to raise $3,500. If you would like to help me reach my goal, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm about 60 percent there, but still have a long way to go.
Please follow this link to my riders profile.
