Local Business Leader Bill Arnold Passes Away

Arnold was 89 years old

Bill Douglas Arnold, a longtime Davis realtor and business leader, died July 26 at the age of 89 of pulmonary fibrosis, his family said, reports the Sacramento Bee.

He helped start the Davis auto dealers association and served as president of the Davis Chamber of Commerce in 1958 and later of the Yolo County Association of Realtors. Arnold founded the Davis branch of , which now has offices in Davis and Woodland. He participated in the Davis Rotary Club

He is survived by a wife, two children, six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. 

The funeral service was today at 10 a.m. at Davis Community Church, located at 412 C St. His family is asking for donations to be made to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) or any charity as a supplement for flowers.
