2 Robberies: One Man Attacked by Group, Other While Making Purchase in Park

Males suspects attacked a man and took his personal property while he walked near 8th and Pole Line. The second robbery started when a man attempted to purchase electronic equipment.

Two separate victims reported being robbed in Davis on Sunday. The suspects are at large in both cases, according to the Davis Police Department. 

"The first robbery took place at approximately 2:30 am in the area of E. 8th St. and Poleline Rd.," said Lt. Glenn Glasgow in a release. "The victim reported that he was walking in the area when he was approached by three to four male suspects who proceeded to attack him and take personal property." 

The only descriptive information the victim was able to supply was the gender of the suspects, according to police.

Here's what they had to say about the second robbery, which took place around 7:30 p.m. at Slide Hill Park: 

The victim had arranged to meet a potential seller of electronic equipment at the park. When the seller arrived and the victim removed cash from his pocket, the seller grabbed the money from the victim and pushed the victim to the ground. The suspect then fled to a waiting vehicle. The suspect was described as an African American male, approximately 20 years old and stood at approximately 5’10” tall. The suspect was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. A second person who accompanied the suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 20 years old, 5’10” tall and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. A third suspect was also present but no description was provided. The suspect’s vehicle is described only as a dark colored sedan.

Both victims did not report seeing a weapon and the Davis Police Department do not believe the incidents are related.
