5 Arrested During Raid of Davis 'Drug House'

A house on B Street was being used for drug sales, police say.

Police arrested five people Thursday night at a suspected drug house in the 800 block of B Street.

The home was being used to sell drugs, according to police. The Davis Police Department and Yolo County Narcotics Enforcement Team served a search warrant at the home around 10 p.m. Thursday, according to a Davis Police Department press release.

Three were arrested on charges of maintaining the house and two were arrested on charges of visiting it.

As police approached the house, two people fled in a vehicle, nearly hitting an officer. The officer had to dive out of the way to avoid being hit, the Davis Police Department said in a press release.

The driver and passenger were pulled over a short distance away and arrested. They are 20-year-old Alfredo Ordonez of Davis and 33-year-old Changleska Standingelk, who has no permanent address.

The three Davis residents arrested at the house were:

  • Sherry Harrington, 43, on charges of maintaining a house for drug sales and charges of drug and drug paraphernalia possession
  • Tanisha Schuchman, 32, on charges of maintaining a house for drug sales
  • Dwayne Scott Durant, 21, on maintaining a house for drug sales and possessing drug paraphernalia

Parasites in a college town. Who would have thought?

Not much more parasitic than McDonald's. All nonviolent drug "offenders" should be released.

Had the facts been accurately reported the true offenders would have been the police in this instance who seemingly have grossly embellished facts to make this so called raid look like a more legitimate expenditure of taxpayer dollars... I think YONET could do with a few more checks and balances to keep them from becoming a parrasitic leach on the citizens of this county.
