Among these reports from the last 24 hours, you will find a teenager stumbling at the skate park, several burglaries and a dead body (which we are looking into further). 

Reports
8:14 a.m. – City Code Violation: Two subjects near Tulip Lane and East 8th Street on foot taking recycling. One had a large bag and another with a shopping cart. They also had a bike.

8:18 a.m. – Burglary Residential: Caller believes someone entered the home through the living room window while he/she was asleep and took several items.  Residence on Alvarado Avenue.

8:30 a.m. – Burglary Commercial: Front door window panels broken with glass inside near the door. Appears entry was made but nothing taken. The business, on E Street, remained unsecure.

9:23 a.m. – Dead body: Resident has not been seen since June 13. There was a strong odor coming from the area of the subject’s apartment and a lot of flies around the area. The reporting party requested officer contact at the location.

10:18 a.m. – The caller’s Mac laptop was stolen off the counter at the Econo Lodge on D Street.

12:37 p.m. – Animal Related Incident: Dog locked in silver Honda CRV at SaveMart on Anderson Road. Dog appeared in distress at an ambient temperature of 83.7 degrees. Unable to locate owner.

12:57 p.m. – DUI: Subject sat at the intersection of 5th and G streets for approximately five cycles of the signal. The subject was passed out at the steering wheel, but woke up when the reporting party knocked on his window. The man then proceeded on. Officers were unable to locate.

2:08 p.m. – Shoplift Complaint: Two juveniles arrested for shoplifting at Nugget Market on East Covell Boulevard. Cooperative, not cuffed.

4:27 p.m. – Vandalism: An unknown person smashed the window at State Farm Insurance on 3rd Street. It will cost $284.70.

6:52 p.m. – Injury accident: A cyclist was struck while bicycling through the intersection of 8th and J streets. The vehicle stopped and exchanged information. The reporting party has an injury to the leg and ankle, but required no medical attention.

7:57 p.m. – Drunk in Public: Drunk male stumbling through skate park on East 14th Street, falling over and running into trees near the skate park. Unknown if the juvenile had been drinking. Juvenile is 13-15 years old, shirtless, with black pants. The rest of the group did not appear to be drinking.

8:03 p.m. – Suspicious Circumstance: Two small boxes found on the shoulder of the road at Cowell Boulevard and Research Park Drive, one with a pink logo “caution” tape box.

10:12 p.m. – Noise Complaint: Neighbor on Tea Place yelling profanities and talking to himself from his driveway. Blue Jeep Cherokee parked in driveway.

12:40 a.m. – Shots fired/heard at the Avalon Apartments on Valdora Street.
