Dixon Man Apprehended in Lake County With Two-Pounds of Meth, Largest in Recent History

Lake County Sheriff's reportedly block Dixon resident, Esteban Birelas, 33, from bringing nearly $100,000 worth of meth back to town.

Lake County Sheriff's arrested a Dixon resident last week when two-pounds of methamphetamine was found in his possession during a traffic stop.

According to Lake County News, Esteban Birelas, 33, was traveling southbound on Highway 29, the evening of Mon., Dec 2, in the Lower Lake area, in a green pickup with an unreadable license plate. Officers reportedly observed the vehicle crossing over the double yellow line and decided to pull him over.

Sheriff's told Lake County News that Birelas and the vehicle smelled of marijuana, and after numerous inconsistent and inaccurate reasons for his presence in Lake County and where he was traveling from, deemed a vehicle search warranted.
