Residents in Piedmont lost a laptop and some jewelry after a burglar entered their house through a doggie door last week. Presumably the dog was also out of the house at the time of the break in.

The Feds are helping local cops in Marin catch a bank robber who acts like he’s begging to get nabbed. As Patch editor Lindsay Hickman put it this week, “Marin’s serial bank robber now has a bounty held over his cotton-covered head. The FBI San Francisco Division is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the ‘Cotton Ball Bandit,’ suspected of robbing seven North Bay banks since December 2012.”
