Grand Theft
Police took a report of stolen property August 7 at 10:53 a.m. at the Almondwood Apartments on Alvarado Avenue. A known suspect took property from the residence without permission, according to the police log.
City Code Violation
Police advised people at a transient encampment behind CVS on W. Covell Boulevard of the city code violation August 7 at 3:58 p.m.
Sexual Assault
A man reportedly slapped a woman on her backside as she biked across the street headed toward the Lexington Apartments on Olive Drive August 7 at 5:31 p.m. Police took a report; the man was described as a white male adult, with dark skin and transient.
Auto Theft
A vehicle was taken from the Clubside Apartments on Lake Boulevard overnight; the report was taken August 5 at 6:58 a.m.
A vehicle – described as a blue, four-door Honda Civic – was taken at Sharps and Flats Apartments on Drew Court overnight. The report was taken August 5 at 8:13 a.m.
Residential Burglary
A laptop and car keys were taken from a residence at the Clubside Apartments on Lake Boulevard overnight; the report was taken August 5 at 11:42 a.m.
A house on Amapola Drive was broken into while its residents were on vacation and was missing jewelry, video games and game consoles. The residents returned home August 6 and the report was taken at 12:21 a.m.
Vehicle Burglary
An iPod was taken from a vehicle at College Square Apartments on J Street. The window was smashed and occurred within the last hour; the report was taken August 5 at 10:29 p.m.
Vandalism
Three tires on a new vehicle – a 2011 black Toyota Camry – were punctured sometime on August 4 at the Lakeshore Apartments on Lake Boulevard. The report was taken at 4:32 p.m.
The sign at Redrom Burger on W. Olive Drive had been left on the sidewalk; the report was taken August 5 at 3:19 a.m.
DUI
Officers arrested someone on suspicion of driving under the influence August 5 at 1:32 a.m. at Cafe Italia on Richards Boulevard.
