Did you know that the Davis Police Department recently upgraded its online crime map? If you haven't looked into what crimes have recently taken place near you, give it a whirl here.
The new map allows you to get information about recent crime incidents in your neighborhood and the city. That doesn't include crimes on the UC Davis Campus or outside of the Davis city limits, like El Macero.
The application uses map layers from the City of Davis Geographic Information System (GIS) and crime data from the City of Davis Records Management System, according to the Police Department website.
Note: This initial version of the Davis Crime Mapper works with newer Internet Explorer browsers and requires Javascript to be enabled. Other browser users may access City of Davis crime information from the Davis Police Department Weekly Crime Synopsis web page.
