VIDEO: Watch Davis's 'Gun Violence' Forum in its Entirety

Did you attend the forum?

The following was sent out after a recent forum in Davis about gun violence. Watch the full forum in the video above, which was filmed by Davis Media Access.

Dear friends of Saving California Communities,

Thank you to all who attended last Tuesday's Breaking the Cycle of Gun Violence public forum. For others, Davis Media Access recorded the event. It is available here.

We have several possible next steps:

Please take a moment to complete a brief 5-question survey if you would like to engage on this issue.  It will help us determine interest and where we can be most effective.

Finally, to be added to Amanda Wilcox's e-mail list for legislative update, you may send a request directly to her at CABrady@live.com.

We welcome your thoughts and suggestions and look forward to continued action on this important issue.

Susan Lovenburg, on behalf of Saving California Communities, www.SavingCA.org

In the forum, "internationally renowned gun violence researcher Dr. Garen Wintemute of UC Davis School of Medical School was joined by Amanda and Nick Wilcox, legislative and policy chairs of the California Chapter of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence," according to Davis Media Access.

You must make guns illegal to get rid of them. Just like drugs......

When law abiding citizens are not allowed to have guns, only the law breakers and dishonest citizens will have them. The only things that keep a criminal from breaking into your home is fear and punishment. We should never stop fighting for the right to bear arms and the right to protect ourselves. We have enough laws on the books now, we just need to enforce them.

Gee, I didn't know we got rid of drugs. Thanks for informing me. When my son comes home from high school and tells me about the druggies that were selling dope in the bathroom, I will inform him that we don't have drugs since they are illegal.

Don't retreat. Reload.

Gina, I like the way you think.
