Accused Hate Crime Suspect, Clayton Garzon, in Court Wednesday

Prosecutors want to raise his bail from $75,000 to $500,000.

The suspect in an accused Davis hate crime will be in court Wednesday.

Clayton Garzon, who recently turned 20, faces an arraignment and bail hearing in Yolo Superior Court for an incident that took place on March 10 that hospitalized the victim, Mikey Partida, 32.

Partida was left unconscious and bloodied after an altercation outside a house party early in the morning of March 10. Witnesses say the suspect repeatedly yelled gay slurs before the beating, which took place outside a party around 3 a.m.

Garzon, who also faces felony allegations for a stabbing in Dixon last year, was released on $75,000 bail in this most recent incident.

Prosecutors say he is "an extreme danger to the community," according to the Sacramento Bee. They want to increase Garzon's bail to $500,000.
