City of Davis Thanksgiving Week Closures

Here's what offices will be open during the holiday-shortened week.

Several City offices will be closed or have altered hours during Thanksgiving week. The following offices will be closed starting Monday November, 19th through Friday, November 23.

  • City Hall (City Manager’s Office, Finance, Community Development and Sustainability, Public Works Administration)
  • Community Services Corporation Yard, 1818 Fifth Street
  • Fire Business Office, 530 Fifth Street
  • Veterans Memorial Center (Closed with the exception of private rentals)

Community Services Recreation Registration and Child Care Services, both located at 600 A Street, will be open the following hours during Thanksgiving week: Monday 9am-3pm, Tuesday 9am-1pm, closed Wednesday, November 21st through Friday, November 23rd.

The Senior Center will be open November 19th, 20th, and 21st. Office hours are 8:30-4:30 pm. The facility will be closed Thursday November 22nd and Friday November 23rd.

Emergency services will continue uninterrupted, and Davis Community Transit will continue regular operation. Crews will also be available for basic operations. The Police business office will maintain normal business hours Monday through Wednesday and again on Friday, open 9:00am – 5:30. The business office will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Utility bill and parking citation payments may be dropped into the designated drop box in the parking lot of City Hall.

Employees are asked to take vacation days or leave without pay during this time period. All City offices will resume normal business hours Monday, November 26th.
