Davis City Council Increases Its Salary

The Davis City Council's monthly stipend will be $1,138.

Sitting on the Davis City Council can at times be a thankless job. But at least now, it's become a bit more profitable. 

The Davis City Council approved a monthly stipend increase from $669.42 per month to $1,138 by a margin of 4-1, with the only dissenting vote coming from Mayor Pro Tem Dan Wolk according to this story in the Davis Enterprise. 

The increase takes affect in JUly, after the June council election. The story points out that the council hasn't given itself a raise since 2000.
