As the weeks and days count down until the Nov. 6 election, candidates will likely be busy touting their experience, expertise and plans if they're elected. Many candidates also highlight the endorsements they've received from labor groups, other politicians and prominent residents.
Congressional candidate John Garamendi received a big endorsement from former President Bill Clinton Tuesday, but local endorsements play a role, too.
For example: Davis School Board Candidates Nancy Peterson and Susan Lovenburg have been endorsed by the Davis Enterprise.
