Don't Light Tonight: No Wood Burning in Davis Monday

The City of Davis announced today that there is no wood burning permitted Thursday.  

A Don’t Light Tonight advisory has been declared for Davis on Thursday, and residents are asked to refrain from burning wood.

Wood smoke has serious health impacts, especially for children, the elderly and those with lung ailments, an air district spokesman said. Certain meteorological conditions that typically lead to increased air pollution from wood smoke are forecast, triggering the advisory.
