How to Cut the Budget: Open Meetings Will Seek Public Opinion

The city council meetings prior to the budget approval were tense and passion-filled.

With major budget cuts on the horizon, the city is looking for input from the community as to how and where the cuts should be made.

They’ll be holding two community open houses at the on August 30 and September 7. According to a city release: 

City staff will be available for questions about specific programs or city services at each of the meetings. Participants are asked to consider which programs and services they feel are the most critical to the community, as well as those they feel are less important.
