Rural Marijuana Dispensaries Could Pop-Up Right Outside of Dixon

A Solano County Board of Supervisors meeting was held Tuesday night to discuss the potential of allowing medical marijuana dispensaries in rural areas, many Dixon residents disapprove.

Close to two-dozen Dixon residents said medical marijuana dispensaries should absolutely not be allowed in the unincorporated areas of Solano County, according to the Vacaville Reporter.

The Solano County Board of Supervisors recently extended a moratorium on dispensaries, though no official decision has been made on their establishment. The moratorium ends next July.

The next public meetings are from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the first floor multi-purpose rooms of the County Administration Center, 675 Texas St., Fairfield and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Winters City Council Chamber, 318 First St., Winters.
