Tonight: How to Cut $2.5 Million in Personnel Costs?
Tonight's Davis City Council Meeting begins at 6:30.
The city, along with new City Manager Steve Pinkerton, will explore how make $2.5 million in personnel cuts at tonight’s council meeting. The council in June with a 3-2 vote in which Stephen Souza and Sue Greenwald voted against.
Tonight the council will explore the specific ways to make the cuts. Pinkerton, who made even bigger cuts as the city manager of Manteca, will play his most prominent role to date, as many believe his hiring had much to do with the council's desire to make these cuts.
That discussion is expected to begin at 7:45, but that can vary.
