Wind Energy Could Power Thousands of UC Davis Dorm Rooms

If UC Davis agrees to the turbines, the company will fully fund and manage the turbines, according to the Aggie.

 

The California Aggie reports that wind energy could be soon power thousands of on-campus dorm rooms: 

Foundation Windpower, a company that specializes in producing renewable energy, has proposed a plan to campus administration that would put up two wind turbines that could potentially produce enough energy to power 7,500 dorm rooms.

If UC Davis agrees to the turbines, the company would fully fund and manage them, according to the Aggie. UC Davis would have to agree to buy 100 percent of the energey created by the turbines.
