This week is the last chance to join the Free Range Singers for our Spring 2012 session, which will culminate in a Singing Bee!
Laura Sandage will be directing, with able assistance from Katie Henry. We have two rehearsal times for you to choose from:
--on Tuesday nights at 7-8:30pm at the UU Church of Davis.
--on Friday afternoons at 1-2:30pm at the UU Church of Davis.
This committed session of the Free Range Singers includes:
--A series of seven rehearsals plus a Singing Bee on Friday, June 8 at 7:00pm at the UU Church of Davis. This is a participatory performance which will include adult and children's groups singing for each other, singing together, and singing with the friends and family who are gathered to enjoy the evening.
--A packet of song lyrics and sheet music for each participant.
--Singing to express your full range and free your true voice.
--All voices welcome-- no audition.
--Variety of repertoire-- music from many traditions, styles from playful to serious, simple to complex. Also featuring original songs and arrangements by Laura Sandage. Much of our material will be learned by ear.
--Activities to build your musical skills and exercise your brain, body, and spirit.
--Suggested donation $60-$120 for the entire session. Scholarships available.
