Farm-to-College is June 6: Local Food, Music & More at UC Davis



UC Davis dining services invites you to join them in "celebrating our local and regional food community at the 15th biannual UC Davis Farm-to-College" event. 

It will take place Thursday, June 6 from 4:30-7:30pm at Segundo Area Central Lawn. 

  • 1 swipe for meal plan holders 
  • $14.75 for general public
  • $11.80 with UC Davis staff pin/ID card

Farm to College is a bi-annual event hosted by UC Davis Dining Services celebrating our local and sustainable food system. Several aspects of the meal feature sustainably produced, locally grown, and/or humanely raised items. 

The event will include educational activities and opportunities to explore where our food comes from, how it was produced, the power of our food dollar and our regional food community!

Music! The West Nile Ramblers will be bringing us western garage and country noir. UC Davis alum and local musician, Alicia Murphy, will be sharing her latest 'humble pop' acoustic art.

Grow – Learn how to compost with Project Compost! Meet the campus gardeners from the Salad Bowl Garden, EC Garden and Resident Garden! Take a photo, post it toFacebook to win a raffle prize on a UC Davis Student Farm tractor with students majoring in Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems! 

Make – Make your own re-purposed UC Davis #1 Cool School notebooks with Aggie ReStore. Create your own meal with the Food Miles EcoBike and feel the weight of your choices! Get creative with recycled bike tube jewelry by Campus Center for the Environment and the California Student Sustainability Coalition.  

Play – Check out a new Davis recycling app and play with worms with Davis Recycling and UC Davis Waste Reduction and Recycling. Toss trash for a prize with Student Housing Sustainability. Meet 'Clo the Cow' withClover Stornetta or wrangle your own with the Young Cattlemen Association!
