School Board Race Heats Up

Claire Sherman to run, along with Nancy Peterson; incumbent Susan Lovenburg says she'll run again.

There may indeed be a race for two seats on the Davis school board, as Claire Sherman recently filed paperwork to vie for one of the spots.

Sherman, a biomathematician/research scientist according to the Yolo County Registrar's Office, filed paperwork July 31. The deadline to file is this Friday.

Davis Joint Unified School District incumbent board president Susan Lovenburg has she'll run again, but hasn't yet filed with the registrar's office. Board member Richard Harris has said he will not seek reelection.

Nancy Peterson, whose occupation is listed as “undecided,” is for a seat.
