Davis Art Center Holiday Sale: Fun Rainy-Weekend Activity! (Indoors)

Oh the weather outside is frightful….

Looking to get out of the rain and do something fun this weekend? Come to the Davis Art Center Holiday Sale. No need to worry about parking. Davis Pedicab will be shuttling shoppers in their DRY pedicabs from the Vets Memorial Center parking lot and around Community Park to the Art Center.

Once inside the Art Center, you will find over 70 vendors selling handmade wares and lots of artsy activities for kids and adults. For you parents, you can browse the sale while the kids are taking care of their own shopping in the Children’s Secret Store. There’s the Paint-a-Plate studio where you can paint plates, mugs and ornaments. You can make a paper craft in the crafting corner. In the Kids Kraft room, kids can make candles, ornaments and lip gloss. And there will be delicious, hot soup from StoneSoup Catering. Yum!

The Holiday Sale is a time-honored Davis tradition in its 22nd year. As the new co-chair of the sale this year, I’m trying to honor the past and also bring some new, fun energy into the arty mix. You will find more vendors than ever before and this year for the first time, the Davis Art Center has its own booth. Come check out our goodies including chocolate from the adorable Cocoa Sisters and notecards with drawing of Davis by local artist Pete Scully.

When I first heard the weather report for the weekend I was bummed. But, I think the blustery, winter weather will make the Holiday Sale feel cozy. Come on in and stay a while!
