Davis Boys Are Underdogs in Basketball Playoffs

Davis Senior High School's boys and girls teams will have their first playoff matchups next week.

The Davis Blue Devils boys basketball team will start its playoff journey next week, and it'll likely be an uphill battle.

Davis Senior High School has the No. 11 seed in the Division I playoffs, and its first matchup will be against No. 6 Lincoln at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in Lincoln.

This year, the Blue Devils are 16-10 overall and 6-4 in league play, according to MaxPreps.

The last time the team made it into the playoffs was the 2009-10 season, when the No. 12-seeded team was eliminated in the first round by No. 5 Rodriguez.

For the girls, it's a different story. The girls team has the No. 6 seed in the Division I playoffs, and will face No. 11 Napa on Tuesday at home.

The last time the Blue Devil girls made the playoffs was the 2010-11 season, when the team was ranked No. 6 and was eliminated in the first round by No. 11 Pleasant Grove.
