Sacramento Republic FC Soccer Team to Hold Tryouts Near Davis

Sacramento's new United Soccer League team, Sacramento Republic FC, will hold tryouts just outside of Davis in October. 

“The Sacramento region is home to some of the most skilled soccer players around," Head Coach Predrag Radosavlijevic (Preki) said in a news release. "As we evaluate each participant, we will be hand picking only the best to be part of Sacramento Republic FC.”

The first two-day tryout is set for Oct. 5-6; the second for Oct. 19-20, both at the Davis Legacy Soccer Complex, Road 105D in El Macero, just outside of Davis on Interstate 80. 

Tryouts are open to anyone over age 18 for $200 and space is limited. If you can't make these first two tryouts, more will take place in the coming months.

Sacramento Republic FC (Republic FC), today announced the first two tryouts that will take place as a scouting opportunity for potential Republic FC players. The first two-day tryout will take place on October 5 and 6; the second is scheduled for October 19 and 20. Both combines will be held at the Davis Legacy Soccer Complex, located off Highway 80 in Davis.

Each of the two-day tryouts are open opportunities for soccer players, ages 18 or older, to receive full evaluation from Republic FC coaching staff, including Technical Director Graham Smith and Head Coach Predrag Radosavlijevic (Preki). The tryouts are not limited to testing match-like situations, as all areas of skill will be evaluated. Lunch will be provided on both days and each player will receive a Republic FC T-shirt.

“We are very excited to get the combines started,” said Preki. “The Sacramento region is home to some of the most skilled soccer players around. As we evaluate each participant, we will be hand picking only the best to be part of Sacramento Republic FC.”

The registration fee for each two-day tryout is $200 per person. Those wishing to participate are being asked to pre-register online. Space is limited as each tryout is open to no more than 60 participants.

Additional Republic FC tryouts will take place during the remainder of 2013.
