Volunteer at Logos Books: Profits Go to Doctors Without Borders & Save the Children

Surround yourself with books by volunteering one four-hour shift per month at Logos.

By Logos Books

As most of you know, is a not-for-profit used books store with non tax-exempt status. Our profits go to Doctors without Borders and Save the Children. Because of volunteer workers at the store this past year, we were able to increase our profits from $9400 in 2010 to $24,000 in 2011.

With the end of the academic year many of our volunteers (UCD students) are moving on to new adventures.  We are looking for new volunteers to join us for the coming summer months (July - September).  A volunteer would have one four hour shift, am (10 to 2) or pm (2 to 6) one Saturday or Sunday a month from July through September. We are very flexible and are happy to work with individual schedules.   If you are interested, please contact Susan Linz at logosusedbooks@gmail.com. You can find out more about us on our blog: logosbooks.wordpress.com

I haven't had allergies this bad since I was five and living in Bellflower, CA. The doctors said toRead More get me out of California. That was in 1945.
