Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights

The Davis office comprises the advocacy branch of the Association, which seeks to change public policy toward animals. Another Association advocacy goal is the minimization of the use of live animals in veterinary education. The Association, with membership headquarters in Washington, DC, also contributes to the maintenance of sanctuaries for neglected and abandoned animals in California, Texas and Oregon.
