Davis Farmers Market

<p>Since its founding in the 1970s, the operating philosophy of the Davis Farmers Market has been to foster a direct farm-to-consumer connection. Eliminating the middleman serves to increase the farmer's profit margin and lower prices for shoppers. Organic produce, honey, fresh-cut flowers, juice, olive oil, nuts, bread and other merchandise grown or made by the seller are available. Artisans sell a variety of handmade products here as well.</p> <p>From the spring through fall months, "Picnic In The Park" events feature local bands playing on the stage across the meadow from the Farmers Market Pavilion. Occasionally, solo musicians, actors, jugglers, balloon makers, and other entertainers perform on stage or while strolling through the Farmers Market crowds.</p>
